Koder uses your model provider and API key. Settings stay on this computer.
Open settings
In Koder desktop, press ⌘, on Mac or Ctrl, on Windows. Search the sidebar for a setting. The first koder run opens CLI settings. Enter /settings in KARMENBOT.
Model providers and API keys
Use Settings → Models to add a provider and key, read its live model list or change the endpoint. Koder desktop does not read model keys from environment variables or .env files. See Provider setup for the CLI.

- KARMENBOT keys stay in
~/.karmenbotwith mode 600. - Koder desktop keys are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM.
Import and export
Settings → Import and export scans readable chat history for you to select. Scanning does not import anything. You can also import or export chat packages. Imported history does not restore third-party logins; reconnect plugins separately.
