Find causes and next steps for common installation and setup problems.

The installer exits

Piped installation reads your answer from the controlling terminal. Without interaction or prior consent, it exits. Run it in an interactive terminal and type accept.

Windows keeps asking

Empty or unrecognized answers ask again; surrounding spaces are trimmed. Type accept, or decline to cancel. Ctrl+C also cancels.

Windows download timeout

Set KODER_DOWNLOAD_TIMEOUT_SECONDS to 1–100000000 seconds and run the installation command again.

Windows 7, 8 or XP

Node.js 22 does not support these systems, so the KARMENBOT terminal app cannot install.

The SDK cannot find the CLI

Install Koder CLI first, or set KODER_CLI_ROOT or cliRoot. An invalid explicit path is reported rather than replaced by another copy.

Model requests fail

Access depends on your provider, key, plan and quota. Test the connection in settings first.

A plugin cannot connect

Retry or disconnect it in plugin management. Imported history does not restore a plugin login; reconnect it.
